Hi lads, i am an international student and the only kind hearted welcoming state i found was Guam.
Context: i have a bachelor degree (less than 150H) in accounting that is AACSB Accredited.
applied to NH Refused no master
applied to UT refused missing 2 credits.
i have no citizenship no SSN, F1 Visa.
thus i only found Guam and other similar states that would accept me as i am 🙁 << i live in Cali now.
putting that aside, does anyone has info on this subject? can i transfer my scores to any other state that is inside the borders AKA from eastside to westside.
appreciate any inputs even the Hi’s

Try Montana..you work through NASBA but they are very international (and domestic) friendly. https://nasba.org/licensure/nasbalicensing/montana/ Be sure to use the link on this NASBA page to read the Montana requirements on the state board’s website.

But if you require CA license to work be aware that CA does not recognize reciprocity. You have to apply to CA for a license.

You will still need 150 hours in all states unless your exams were completed prior to a cutoff date determined by each board on a state by state basis. UNA is a cheap easy and quick place to fill education gaps. https://degrees.una.edu/business

There are a couple of States that will allow you to sit for the exam with at least 120 hours earned. This, you should be fine. Try your luck with Iowa. I just passed my last section last week, sat for the ethics exam same night, passed it with a 93, then applied for my license yesterday. It was approved same day and my certificate is on the way.

You can certain transfer your score from A to B…as many times as you wanted, just pay the $.

I don't believe there's any state in the US will give you a license without 150 credits, unless you file your license application 10 years ago and never completed it.

A lot of state will let you take the exam with 120 credits. You can transfer all you wanted, but your job will determine what state you need to be license in (especially in public accounting), and a lot of state like (NY) does not allow transfer of 5 years or less “new license”. Some states have testing expiration requirements, so if you need to refile at a different state after being licensed you don't want to hit on those rocks…

Being a citizen or visa does not determine your CPA eligibility, but you should have a social security number if you plan to work in the US with a salary.
