Hi All,

As I’ve been working to getting my CPE’s before June, I was talking to the site coordinator at the VITA income tax preparation who seemed to drop the fact that the volunteer work could count for certain CPEs depending on certificate. I’ve seen you can get it for your EA but nothing makes me believe that you can get hours for it for your CPA.

So I asked the very helpful (sarcastic) board who referred me to the dca website: https://www.dca.ca.gov/cba/cont_educ/cequickref.shtml. I just went through it for a good hour, but still couldn’t find anything. I don’t really need for it to count as I’m already halfway done… then again I’ve done more than enough hours at the site that should it count I won’t have to have to do anymore lectures for awhile.

So does anyone know if it counts?
