I have over a decade of relevant work experience for my cpa but only 9 months of it was under an active cpa. There are very few people in corporate accounting/finance with active licenses including at the CFO level. I was wondering if anybody had experience with a non supervisor cpa signing off on their experience in CA. There was a CPA with an active license that worked in a niche area of accounting at one of my jobs but she was not my (or anybody else’s ) supervisor. She is familiar with my work but I did not report to her under even the most lenient of definitions. I have written the board for more information but would love to hear your insights. I am currently up for a CFO role and the chances of me finding a job for an active CPA that is a CEO is slim to none.
