I would like to know if anyone has been in my position and had success obtaining a license.
Arizona, like many states, require that students have 36 credit hours in accounting specific classes. 30 of these ACC hours must be upper level accounting courses. I’ve already called the state board of accountancy and they are unable to give me an answer on whether certain credits are “upper division” until i submit my final application. I am 1 test away from being done with the exams and I am looking for someone to help put my mind at ease.
I am certain that I have 24 upper division ACC courses. My question is, I received an MBA from a state school and took two 500 level classes. One was ACC 502 financial accounting and the other was ACC 503 managerial accounting. I am concerned that they are going to consider these principle/intro accounting classes since they really are a basic accounting class, but taught at the 500 level. Has anyone ran into a problem where the board rejected these classes as upper division? Thanks in advance for your help. It would be terrible to have to go back to school AGAIN after the MBA and now these ridiculous exams.
