Can anyone clarify the 2014 California education requirement? The CBA website isn’t very clear, they just send you to a pdf file listing the requirement, but doesn’t say if you can choose one of the 3 color coded pathways or must complete all. I’ve been asking this question for awhile now but someone keeps on deleting my question. Is it taboo to ask or what?

I think Jeff has been working on the site today. Lots of posts going up and getting deleted. I am right there with you about the requirements. I even emailed the CBA asking if they will look over my transcripts, and they said no not without an active licensing application open. So for now I am rushing to get in my application before 12/31/13, will deal with the rest later.

CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below

150 units total, of which 44 must be accounting, 24 must be business, and 10 must be ethics. There is only one Patheay beginning 1/1/14.

From what I deduced you have to complete the licensing requirements by Jan 1 2014 to become licensed under pathway 1 (the one with the 120 credit / 2 year work experience rule).

Since I have no work experience and I'm basically out of the race to get licensed by 2014 under pathway 1 I'm just doing the exam early on so I never have to worry about it in the future (California candidates never lose credit for passing the exam).

You just need to complete 1 of the requirements by the deadline, otherwise it'll become the 150 credit + 1 year work experience rule for everyone.

Let's say you are a business graduate with 120 semester units.

You took additional accounting course so you have 6 accounting units and met 14 business units. 20 MAXIMUM units total from this group.

Now I need 10 units in the Ethics Study group to meet the total ADDITIONAL 30 UNITS, correct? (referring to the 150 Units Tip Sheet)

    Thanks in advance!
