Do you lose the NTS for that exam and have to reapply?

I have FAR scheduled for 8-28, but I just don’t think I will be able to take it then. I don’t know when I will take it, but I would like to wait to reschedule until I know. It isn’t going to expire soon.

You don't lose the NTS – you just rescheduled at some point in the future when you decide to schedule again

    FAR: 63, 55, 62
    REG: 65, 77*
    AUD: Fail, 64, 71
    BEC: 72, 74, 81

    *expired

Great. I have only rescheduled exams and didn't want to mess this up!

Just check when your NTS expires; they're only good for 6 months, I believe. You will have to pay a fee to reschedule if it's within 30 days of your test date. The fee is increased if you're within 3 days.

If you're worried about losing it, you can always reschedule, then reschedule again when you find a date you're more comfortable with. I rescheduled at least twice on a couple of my NTS's and it wasn't a problem. Keeps you from paying fees too if you're outside of 30 days. 🙂

I was thinking that also, taxgeek. I am Taking BEC on July 21. Then I am going to take a break to finish up my MS, that will be 7-6 to 8-31, there is a little overlap of BEC and the start of my class, but I think it will be fine. That would hopefully allow me to take FAR and AUD in the same window (oct/nov).

I really want this over with! gah!
