I took three parts of the exam 2 weeks apart from the mid of last Aug to the end. I significantly underestimated the difficulty of the exam and thought I failed all three of them. Since I planned to go out of the country for a while, I reapply with my state board and paid the $50 before I got my scores. Now I’m on the other side of the globe and I just found out I passed all three parts of the tests, and I will take BEC after I get back to the U.S. My question is…….what happens if I also passed BEC but there is still an application hanging? Do I just ignore it or should tell them to cancel it?

I'm assuming you had previously applied for BEC and have already received your NTS (notice to schedule)? If you have an unexpired NTS for BEC you shouldn't have been able to reapply. The state board should check with NASBA and you won't receive an ATT (Authorization to Test) if you have an application open. I would call the state board and confirm your status and see if you can get your $50 back – but don't count on that because they give you all of this information in the candidate bulletin which you should have read before you applied. (When you sign the application it states that you have read the candidate bulletin.) Most likely you made a $50 donation to the state board.

On the bright side – Congrats on passing the other three sections!!! Whatever method you used to study for the first three sections you should study the same way so you can pass BEC!

    I passed in 2012!

    BEC - PASSED - I'M DONE!!!
    AUD - PASSED (finally!!)
REG - PASSED (Twice - lost credit first time)
    FAR - PASSED!

Pretty sure this happened to @kandisjoy in CA. She called the state board and I am pretty sure they refunded her application fee.
