    Hello,

I’m a resident in Washington State. I’m preparing for my CPA exams. I heard about the closure day for testing centers, but I’m not sure where I can find their calendar or information ahead of time.

I would like to know which testing center(s) I’ll be able to schedule and when they close (in terms of month/year). Do you guys know where can I find a listing of testing centers avaialble and their schedules in WA state? This information is helpful for me to plan ahead for my exams.

Thank you in advance for your response!

    Hi Jolien,

Go to: prometric.com/cpa. In the middle of the page, near the top, click on the Hyperlink for “Seat Availability Tool.” You can search by state, then by test, then by zip code. Not sure where you are at, but I've taken all my tests in Montlake Terrace (north of Seattle).

    Tests are offered over 4 windows (Jan/Feb, Apr/May, July/Aug, Oct/Nov).

    Hope this helps!!

Also I heard about score expiration. Do you know where I can find more information on that? I hope to plan if I fail, I can re-take it within available test dates.

    Thanks much!!!

I have checked. There is only 1 testing center close to my house which is Montlake Terrace. Puyallup is too far away. Thanks!

Don't plan to fail! Plan to pass! Now, that's a given, but you gotta keep it positive!

You have 18 months from the passing score's test date to complete the other 3.

You need to plan it for whatever will work for you. (great advice, I know!) Many folks plan to do two per test period (say 1 in beg of July, 1 end of Aug), but it's really up to you. By paying in smaller segments, you have more flexibility to retake in case you do not pass a test (you only have 6 months to take a test after you pay). My two cents.

Montlake Terrace is fine as long as the strip-mall casino next door doesn't woo you in! Ha ha!
