Taking Exam on Score Expiration date

Does anyone know if there are issues when taking an exam on the same date that a score will expire on?

My BEC score expires on 1/31/2016 which is a Sunday. If I schedule REG on that date (1/31), will I be at risk of Prometric not sending my score until the next day and I lose my credit for BEC? I don’t want there to be a risk of losing BEC if I could have taken it on Saturday. I need all the time I can get and I was hoping to take it on Sunday for an extra day of studying.

I don't think there is any problem. Expiration date means the last date you have to “sit” the test. It won't be affected whether Prometric send your score the next day or next week. The date Prometric send the score only affect the score release date. After you sit for the test, you will receive a cert. from Prometric center indicate the date and time you take the test.:) you may call your state board to confirm that. 🙂

    REG 90
    FAR 95
    AUD 98
    BEC 84

Who decides what the score expiration date is? NASBA or our State Board of Accountancy? I live in a state where we apply for the exam thru our State Board of Accountancy.

Move the test date up 1 or 2 days.

I don't think its an issue but may want to discuss with the state board. Mine is VA and I sat for REG on 11/30/15, which was the date FAR would expire per my score notification…talked to the VBOA and they said as long as I physically sat for and took the exam on 11/30/15 or earlier, then FAR would not expire (if I passed). It doesn't matter that they receive the score notification after 11/30.

Again, I would advise checking with the state board to make sure since they control the process.

    FAR 84
    BEC 83
    AUD 69, 94
    REG 75, 74, 83

    Ethics and then done!!!

The clock starts and stops the date you are in the chair. You are fine. I've seen a lot of people do it. Sometimes your account will show the score expired between the time you sit for the last one to the time scores are released, but then reverts back to pass if you pass the test you sat for.

    BEC - 10/05/15 - 83
    FAR - 11/09/15 - 79
    AUD - 11/30/15 - 84
    REG - 02/14/16 - 82
