I think the length of the NTS depends on the state. Pretty sure in MA it was 9 months but think its only 6 months in some states?

Either way, I paid for all 4 up front (had NO clue what I was getting myself into). I sat for all 4 in those 9 months and failed a few so I had to pay again anyway.

For anybody reading this who hasn't bought their first NTS yet, I recommend just selecting one so you can get a good feel for what you're getting into first. Getting subsequent NTS once you've been approved to sit doesn't take long so theres no real benefit to signing up for multiple sections at once.

Texas only gives their candidates 90 days on an NTS. Thank God Louisiana gives 9 months!

    90 days?!?! Yuck!

And my MA NTS expires in 6 months. It seems to be varied. I always assumed they were all 6 months!
