Prometric Fail? No Confirmation of Attendance — Help Please!

    Hey guys —

I just got back from taking FAR (my last one), and after I finished the I completed the survey regarding the testing facilities. Once that was completed, the screened seemed to be loading for about 20 seconds. After that, the screen turned white and stayed that way, even after I had signed out.

The Prometric staff were unable to generate and print out a confirmation of attendance for me (and, coincidentally, another candidate who was taking FAR at the same time). They said that there was nothing they could do, but that everything was fine. I’m probably overthinking it, but I’m stressing out a little about my scores not being transmitted correctly.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? If so, did the scores still get transmitted correctly? Also, how long does it take a non-Nasba state (in my case, California) to be updated? For instance, my account still says “Schedule/Attendance Pending.”

Thank you very much for your help.

CA can take a day or two to update. I took BEC on Monday and it didn't say I attended until the next morning. If I take an exam in the afternoon or evening it's usually two days later. Hope that helps!

So I was not the only one it happened to?!?

I emailed NASBA this morning candidatecare@nasba.org about this very same issue. The tech had to do something and I had to relaunch the test in order to close it.

Make sure to email them with in 5 days of the test and report the issue!!!

Yes email candidate care, they can confirm they have your exam. Also, for CA sometimes it never changes to attended to. It happened several times for me when I took Audit. Just some quirk I guess. Hope this turns out okay for you!!

My attendance status never posted until a couple days later..

Also, I've heard so many people say that something happened at the end of the exam, but their scores still went through.

    Good luck!

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

I do not want to freak you out, but this has happened before within the last year. Same situation, but the grade NEVER made out of prometric. The candidate had to have them fix it, and I remember it being a headache.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!

This just happened to me this morning! I just took my very first exam, FAR, and the prometric proctor said they didn't “get my file.” I was like, um excuse me?? She made a phone call and gave me a ticket number. I just emailed NASBA. But I'm thinking things are really messed up because I never got to a survey screen… 🙁 Since this is my first exam, I had no idea what the proper completed screen should be. So I am really nervous that this was just a major waste of time. Grrrr!

Same thing happened to me (and another woman testing) this afternoon. I got all the way through the surveys and exited the test, but then my screen went blank & the Prometric staff could not get the exam to show up in their system as being complete. So I left with no Confirmation of Attendance, just a Prometric 1-800 number.

Anyone else experience this and have reassuring input??

The confirmation screen wouldn't print when I finished my exam either. She had me sign on to a different screen and it finally printed. But she said not to worry even if it didn't print because it updates often and she didn't seem to worried about it. But like others have said just send contact nasba and let them know of the issue. I'm sure its fine

The same thing happened to me when I took FAR a couple weeks ago. They had to relaunch my exam to close it, but they did print out and stamp a certificate of attendance and told me everything was fine because the exam automatically saves every 30 seconds, so even if the machine had lost my answers, the system would still have them stored.

Update: My blank-screen/attendance-certificate-fail test was on a Sunday & NASBA responded to my email by 7am on the following Monday morning confirming that all my answers had been saved. Per score release today, I passed.

I'll confirm most of the responses here. The proctor had to “restart” my exam to resubmit it when I took REG in October. Passed it with a 78 today.

You'd think with the money it costs for these things, that glitches like this wouldn't happen, but…
