I just received a new NTS this morning, went to Prometric to schedule, and the website is showing that there are no available times in April and May for the closest 10 testing centers.

This is not true, because I have another test already scheduled in April and when I tried to reschedule it, I had a lot of open times appear.

I’ve never had Prometric give me an error like this. Any idea on what to do?

Check the seat availability tool (where you can check availability without an NTS) and see if you get the same results. Those slots fill up really quick in my experience. When did you schedule your other test for April? What area do you live in and what general area are you searching test centers in?

If all else fails, maybe just call Prometric directly and see if they know what's up.

The openings are not the same for each test. You will probably see more availability for the shorter tests and less availability for the longer tests. No times for two months at the ten closest seems odd, but I have definitely seen differences in availability while trying to schedule two exams at the same time when one is a three hour and the other is a four hour. Your best bet is to just check the availability constantly because people are always cancelling and rescheduling. Just because there isn't availability right now doesn't mean there won't be tomorrow.

Yeah, I checked with the availability tool, and nothing comes up. It just seems odd and seems like Prometric is either not recognizing my exam ID or is having issues loading the Reg test into their scheduling software or something.

Even in the past when I've scheduled on short notice there's been something open in at least one of the closest 3 testing centers. Even the availability in my old state of Oklahoma is showing blank.

If you plan to sit for the BEC or REG sections on or after April 1, 2017, the earliest you may schedule your test date is March 11, 2017. This scheduling hold supports the change to the next version of the BEC and REG Exam sections, which increase from three hours to four hours each as of April 1, 2017.

You need to wait until the 3/11 to schedule BEC or REG.

I am running into the same issue as well. In addition, the prometric site is not currently loading.

Thanks for clarifying industryCPA, that will explain why I was not seeing anything for Reg.
