I am a graduate student right now finishing my last semester in Virginia.

I plan to take a CPA review course after I graduate in May until the end of June.

I plan to start work after I pass all my CPAs around end of August?

I am personally very confused about the the sign up process and all this deal with application sign up and NTS.

I know that it even has a registration window so I can’t simply get on now and sit on it until I want to sign up for the test.

Could someone help me come up with a mock schedule from now (1/14/2014) to August in the test sign up and taking process? Assume that I will take all exams after my review course at the end of June (which is most likely).

Also, a short explanation of the process wouldn’t hurt… I feel like the registraction is harder than the exam itself…

Taking all four exams in July and August is a horrible idea. I wouldn't want to take more than two sections per window.

First, you need to find out what your state requirements are, and file the “Letter of Intent.” If you qualify, you should send it immediately. Here is the state website: https://www.boa.virginia.gov/

After you are registered with the state, you will have to pay the state a fee to register for a section, and wait a few days for the payment coupon from NASBA. Pay the exam fee to NASBA, and wait a few more days for the Notice to Schedule (NTS). The NTS allows you to schedule the exam with Prometric, and you must have the NTS in hand to take your exam.

The scheduling process takes 5-10 business days here in Texas, and you only have 90 days from the date of registering to take the section with the state.

Application Mailed: 3/16/15
Professional Conduct Exam: 97
Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!
