    Hi All:

How do I check the status of my license application. I submitted all the paperwork and received my congratulatory letter today. What is my candidate number. It says National ID # is that it? Good problem to have I guess. Keep at at, I am routing for all still in the heat of the battle. P.S. dont let FAR get to you, we build it up in our heads as the beasr. I scored the highest on it when I thought I failed The studying for FAR is worse than the actual exam. It’s on par with REG. BEC is another story.

I believe that National ID# is something that NASBA generates. Usually your name appears on the NYS license lookup website a few days before the wall certificate and green registration form shows up in the mail – https://www.op.nysed.gov/opsearches.htm

    Couldn't pass again!

NYS is 8 weeks behind. I mailed all the forms in on the week of Aug 13th and they told me they haven't even opened mail from that week yet. NYS said if you don't head from them after 8 weeks of submitting your information to call them.

That's what they told me. I e-mailed them a few times, but I don't want to get on their bad side else I'd e-mail them again.

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
    AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    REG - 75 (Lost Credit) 72, 68, 73, 75 (Passed again in Aug 2011) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    FAR - 65, 68, 75 (Lost Credit) 68, 73, 73, 80 (Passed again in May 2012) Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
    BEC - 65, 68, 71, 72, 72, 71, 76 (Lost Credit)- 70, 76!!!! I AM DONE!!! - Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
After 10 long years of studying, I AM DONE!!!! Finally a Licensed CPA in the State of New York!!

I feel bad for you guys. I didn't follow the instructions on the ethics test and although I passed it I didn't submit the copy with my application. Instead of making me wait 3 weeks for them to get the results from the AICPA, the state took the initiative and emailed me. I resubmitted my app on Thursday and woke up this morning to a license number. Crazy how different the states are.

@ Givemesleep – I applied for my license before NYS require the 150 hours, therefore I'm “grandfathered” in the new requirement. I have 120 hours and 12 years of experience.
