Is NASBA open on Saturdays to send out NTS?

Oregon took over a month to get me my ATT (I just got it yesterday evening) and I paid my NASBA Audit fees today and was really hoping to get my NTS before Monday to get my exam scheduled ASAP (as in hoping to take it on the 22nd).

    Thanks!

Can you tell Oregon has a new person in charge of the applications!

I got my ATT Monday, paid the feels Tuesday morning, and my NTS came at 2am the next morning (Wednesday @2am), so I am pretty sure it is automated on NASBA side.

Awe another fellow Oregonian CPA candidate!

The first time I applied for AUD in April, it took maybe a week (maybe two) to get my ATT. I emailed her several times this application round though, because I have a tight timeline I need/want to take my retake in (going out of town the end of July and wanted to be test free while on vacation). She told me because of the re-applicants and the new graduates they are busier than normal….since didn't make sense why it took over a month to process my application, since I have applied…oh, ummm….too many times to count!

I didn't realize we got a new person in charge of applications….I just started trying again after a couple years of giving up. :-/ Wish Oregon just went to electronic form…. a co-worker of mine took the Montana exam and it was 100% online, he keeps bragging about how quick it is, since I am complaining I STILL didn't have my ATT.

Yeah, I still email Kim, but once they take the money out of your account they should have your ATT to you within 2 business days! Also on their website, they stipulate that the turnaround for our ATT from the time they receive it should take no longer than 2 weeks, I was brow beating them at my two weaks.

Co-worker had the same issue, he emailed them and got his ATT 20 minutes later. (probably recognized our signatures from the same firm)

I had emailed her on Tuesday checking in, she responded immediately back saying they are “busier than normal this time of year” and that she would have my ATT by the end of the week. Thursday came around and I ended up emailing her again for her to maybe “rush” my ATT because of my upcoming vacation, she then didn't respond as quickly, but I had the ATT by the end of the day.

Do you mind me asking, where are you in Oregon? I am in Eastern Oregon.

    Right by Eugene, Oregon.

Yeah ,Kim said there is a new girl doing it. Kim use to get me my ATT within a day of receiving it.

I had issues in the last window of receiving the wrong person's results in the mail. So there is some major changes that are definitely making some problems internally there.

Oh nice! I am originally from Eugene!!! Moved to Eastern Oregon last August.

I sure hope they go to electronic version where everything sounds like it is pretty instant as far as receiving ATT and NTS…as well as results. I would think it would be a lot easier for everyone.

I'm sorry. I'm new here. What is an ATT?

@LStevens 225 – ATT is authorization to test, you receive this notice after you have applied with your state board and . The state board then forwards it to NASBA who then will send you a payment coupon. Once you have paid the fees, they will send you a NTS (notice to schedule) with the information you need to schedule your exam with the Prometric Test Center closest to you. This is the process Oregon has, not sure about other states, but I am sure they are similar.

@Jennifer241 – Sure enough, I got my NTS at 2:11am! 🙂 I guess there is also a good thing about living in Eastern Oregon area….the testing site seems to always have open seats on the days I would like to take the exam. Tuesday 7/23 at 8am (not ideal time, since it is 1.5 hour commute to the testing site) buuuut I am re-taking AUD and GOING to pass this time around!!!

Thanks Sportiegrl!! I submitted my first application on June 30. Ordered a transcript July 1st. Hadn't heard anything then realized they need all my transcripts. I just ordered them yesterday so I'm hoping I didn't wait to long to where I read if they don't receive them you forfeit the fees!. Not to mention I accidentally imported another application because I couldn't remember if I put a college on my app as I only attended one semester there. I forget I even went there. So NOW I'm worried they'll charge me again! I don't see it pending so I'm thinking not? I'm comforted to know it took you a month to get yours although I am going to call them tomorrow. When I call 1-800-CPA-EXAM they say they are open 5 eastern time on Sunday. Oh and when I imported another application it changed my maiden name… So that's great. I'm pretty sure everything I did to check on my application just caused more problems. Little stressed since then lol Thanks again for the help.

There should be someone you can contact directly via phone or email through your state. Here in Oregon the lady that sends out the ATT, I contact directly with my questions. I am sure your state does too.

I don't think it was suppose to take over a month for me to get my ATT, it hasn't in the past. Sounds like Oregon has someone new doing the application process. If I was you, I would call and check first thing Monday morning.

    @Sportiegrl13

You are going to pass audit this time! Get mad, and conquer the exam. 1.5 hour is brutal 🙁 To bad there wasn't any dates before 7/20 so you could get your score in wave 1.

There are open dates before the 20th…and I originally wanted to take it on the 19th buuuut I am out on an Audit all next week (7am-6pm Monday-Thursday) so I wont have as much time as I would like to study, so I had to push it to the next week so I could have one more study weekend. If only I had studied harder in June and got my ATT sooner, I would have taken it by now. The nice weather and Audit season, makes it difficult to find motivation and time to study.

PS – the drive stinks, yes….but I've got an awesome husband who is going to drive me (and sit in the parking lot while I test) there so I can “cram/review” for that hour and a half. 😀

    Awesome hubby!!!

It is audit season for me too! Having and audit and a tax season to balance around these exams is extremely difficult! My testing center had a Saturday time available on the 20th in the afternoon, I was literally jumping up and down in my seat when I saw it.

What test are you going to study for next, I am going to do REG and am sitting on August 31.
