Miss the CPA exam, Can I Reschedule In The Same Window?

(I tried to read the previous post and researched on NASBA website but could not find specific information that I am looking for. Would appreciate to hear from folks who were in the same boat).

Here is the Story of my life (get ready to laugh hard…)

I showed up at the test center at 8:00 a.m this morning, but was not allow to take the test since I did not bring proper ID (only brought my Credit Card (with pictures on it) and did not bring my passport).

My question is: 1. Can I reschedule the exam in this August (the same window period)? (I read different responses on this forum so I am little lost…)

    2. If I can, do I have to pay for the NTS fee again with the consideration that I did not fail the exam?

I am sitting in my room and still cannot believe that I made this mistake. Have no life for the whole summer to increase the chance of passing the part by August, and now I am not even sure if I were allowed to sit for the exam in this month. Not even mention paying twice for the exam.

    @rosek

I dont think you can! I know we cant take the same test in one window, but you may call AICPA or NASBA(not sure who to be honest) and see if that still stands when in fact you did not see the test.

Sorry this happended. My testing center NEVER asks for 2nd ID, but I dont have a common name so maybe that is why.

    Good luck!!

I THINK it's considered a missed exam and you would have to pay again for the next window 🙁 Sorry!

    AUD 6/24/11- 76
    BEC 11/23/11 - 79
    FAR 11/26/12 - 76
    REG 1/14/12 - 82

I think that the OP only brought a credit card which is not a government issued ID, so it's considered improper identification. Drivers license, Passport, or state resident card only I think. Unfortunately, I think you will have to wait until the next window. 🙁

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
    REG-12/6/12 PASSED

Thanks, guys! Really appreciate your input. This is really helpful since that saves me from spending the rest of the weekend to think about possibilities.

I will try to focus for the other part coming in the next two weeks. This time, I will stick that passport by glue to my hand the night before the exam.

    Hi guys,

I just checked with people at the CPA exam and was told that I will be able to reschedule the CPA exam without being charged any fee since my NTS didn't expire. I will need to wait for 48 hours (2 days of business) before calling Prometrix to reschedule the exam again.

I am taking the test under PA jurisdiction in NY. Not that I want this to happen to anybody, but in case it happens to you, that's how things are processed for PA.
