I want to take the exam on day 45 of the Q1 2014 window (https://blog.aicpa.org/2012/12/cpa-exam-2013-q1q2-score-release-timetables.html) which means that, according to last year, I only have to wait 6 days from the 45th day to get my test results. In Q1 2014, the 45th day is Feb. 14th and that’s when I scheduled my exam (in the morning).

However, I also know that it’s not when you take the exam that matters, but when AICPA receives the test. I called Prometric and they said that they send the exam off for scoring immediately. So theoretically, I could take the exam on the 45th day and AICPA would still get the test in time, right?

Has anyone ever taken the test on the last day of a testing wave and it was NOT counted in that wave? Should I move the test one day before the end of the second wave just to be safe?

I have seen comments on here that AICPA did not get the results in time for tests taken on the last day of the testing window. I don't have personal experience with that, but the comments were convincing enough for me to move my test to the day before, just in case.

I moved it to the 11th just to be sure. I get anxious easily and that's not something I need to worry about…
