I am taking two exams this window (just took one), with the second one end of November. Here’s the thing…If I don’t pass both of them I lose credit. I’m trying to avoid finding out about the first exam score so I don’t get distracted and lose complete motivation if I fail. I have already changed my email address on the NASBA site to an address I rarely check, but if I DON’T receive a letter in the mail, I will know I have failed anyways and a score report is waiting in that inbox.

So, is there an option on the nasba site to turn off the mailing of passing notification letters? Any input is much appreciated, thanks!

– You can call NASBA and start asking them questions.

– You can get someone you trust to check your mail for you and make them promise that they will not tell you whether or not you got a letter.

I've never received a letter in the mail, only email. It may be based on your state? I live in Florida.

I live in Florida too. And I only have received a physical letter in the mail when I have passed a section (I get an email too).

That's odd. I bet you can change your preference with Florida. I passed both of mine, but I only recieved the email. I think it was an option when you file your initial application, so it is probably possible to change. OR just don't check your mail for a few weeks. I often take almost two weeks because I forget…

I have no idea what the actual answer to your question is, however, I think you would be less stressed if you changed your outlook on the situation. I tend to live a pretty low-stress life, not because I don't have enough going on but because I choose to be that way. I follow a few simple steps to keep my stress levels down. If something seems to be causing me stress then I make sure that whatever that thing is I accomplish that day to not prolong or amplify the caused stress (obviously this won't work with passing a section but it will help with stress factors not related to the exam). If something is out of my control (you no longer have any control over whether you passed/failed the last section) then stressing over it only does you harm, so move on. Focus all of your energy on accomplishing the next task, because pass or fail you still have to pass the next exam, besides you'll already be dedicated to your studies by the time scores are released.
