I live in CT but took my first exam in MA and am planning to take the rest in CT. Is this okay? I’m assuming because it is a uniform exam I’m okay? Thanks!

I live in Illinois and took my last exam in Kentucky and it was fine. There is a big difference between taking an exam in a different state and moving to a new state and transferring your entire exam/license process. Good luck.

The person in that article applied for licensure in a different state than where they applied to take the exam, so their issue had nothing to do with where they took the exam. If that person had applied for licensure in PA it wouldn't have Been an issue,

It amazes me still how many folks can pass this very tough exam before they're aware of the entire process. I knew exactly what was expected and required BEFORE I applied to take the exams.

I remember reading warnings on either the AICPA or NASBA website. I don't have time to research it, but I would recommend looking into the issue beyond the recommendations on this site.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

Always check with the respective BOA and ask for the Director and walk them through what you're considering doing…very important.
