I’ve registered now and will probably get NTS soon, I’m planning to take exams April/May, is it ok to only schedule with Prometric in like March?

I think the nts expires after six months so your good. I got my nts for FAR back in august and and the day I received it I setup an appointment at prometric for the 11/24

AUD - 89 07/02/14 (Becker practice exam: 74, 83)
REG - 92 08/18/14 (Becker practice exam: 75, 84)
BEC - 83 10/03/14 (Becker practice exam: 83, 70)
FAR - 91 11/24/14 (Becker practice exams: 64, 77)
*also utilized Becker Final Review after seeing practice scores for FAR*

My state NTS are good for six months. So if your state has similar rules you are good, except you can't test in March or June.

Thanks, yeah my state is also 6 months, I'm not sure when in April/May I want to take the exams so I can only schedule around March some time.

Your NTS will say when it expires on it's face (latest you can take the exam field). If you have several testing centers near you (I have five within 90 minutes) then maybe wait until you know you're ready to test. That being said I would lock in my date now because it is free to reschedule >30 days out and only $35 to reschedule 5-30 days out. I tested on the last day of my NTS for REG and was very worried that I wouldn't find a test slot.
