How do I deal with the 2 week FAR wait? - Page 3

    Well, I took FAR yesterday. I went in well prepared this time. It was a rough exam. First testlet was medium, of course. Second one felt like it got harder. The third one either stayed hard or I had no clue. I know that it did not get easier.

    Compared to my first crack at FAR, this test was night and day. First exam was DEFINITELY easier. But that was because I didn’t do well and kept getting medium testlets. I looked at the questions and could have answered them if I had studied. They were basic questions.

    This exam was tough. I feel weird saying this because I was well prepared. I thought if I was well prepared I would feel confidant. I don’t.

    It could really go either way. December 9th feels years away..

    Any advice for staying sane during the waiting period??? This is my last chance at FAR before I lose AUD.

    Rocky123, I feel the same way. I thought when I took it the first time it was a bit more easier. This one seemed a lot tougher by comparison. I didn't get questions focused on any one or few topics and got a little bit of everything. It kinda sucks though that two of the sims I had were on topics I was weak on so I don't feel good about that. If I fail again, I'm thinking I might just study for a different section and come back to FAR again later.

    Waiting is the hardest part!!! Especially being my last section (hopefully). Nothing to do but sit and wait.

    My multiple choice went medium, hard, medium. I know I bombed the 2nd testlet because some of the questions on my third testlet were ridiculously easy. The SIMS were doable, but there is always room for error. They can somehow take a simple concept that you feel confident about and turn it into something so complicated. The wording on the SIMs and the MCQ can really play tricks on the mind. I found myself second guessing a lot.

    This is the second time I'm taking FAR. I know I did better than the first time because I bombed it, but I just don't know if it was enough to get that 75. I'm just hoping and praying at this point.

    I couldn't tell with my third testlet. Like I said earlier, it definitely didn't get easier.

    They need to give us more time for this exam. I used every single second. I would have felt better about the SIMS if I had more time. They weren't impossibly hard. It's just difficult to piece together all of the information they throw at you to fill in those blanks. Ugh.

    With AUD, I could tell when the testlets got harder. With BEC and FAR I couldn't tell…looks like this is how we are going to pass the two week wait for scores haha

    @Gabe

    Yep. I'll probably be stalking this board now. LOL. Misery loves company. It's nice to have this community of people who understand the pain of this exam and also to share in the triumphs.

    Can't get any work done today. Still stressed out from yesterday's exam.

    @Rocky same here. Hoping we both have good news soon. Are you in an Indie state or no?
