Hello

I am a college senior student now majoring accounting and finance, and will graduate on this December with 135 credits. I want to take my first CPA exam probably in spring next year in PA. and I think I meet all the exam academic requirements except waiting for my bachelor degree certificate. I submitted the CPA exam pre-evaluation application yesterday. But the question is, when should I ask my school to send out my transcript? If I ask them to send out my transcript now, will I be determined as academic deficiency caz I haven’t graduated? Or should I wait after graduation?But since I already submitted the pre-evaluation and pay $50, is there any time limitation about how long I should send out all required documents for approval?Anyone can help?Thanks!

It's good you're staying on top of it all. I'm not sure of the credentials in PA, but in MO, we need to have 150 credit hours before sitting for the exam. If you meet the credit requirements with the current classes you are taking, I believe you should be able to request that your transcripts be sent off; the classes you are currently taking will be shown as conditional/ pending (or something of the sort).

I think it's a good thing to stay on top of it and I don't really see any harm on submitting your documentation early.

My official advice is to call NASBA. I'm also in PA and that's what I did.

My unofficial advice is that you could always just wait until you graduate in December. They turn the NTS's around pretty quickly. I didn't wait long for mine- a few weeks, tops. You can't take it until you graduate anyway, also, you can't test in December anyway, so you probably aren't losing any time if you wait.
