Just curious. Last I heard the proctors were still handing out wet tissues to clean the measly 2 laminated sheets that we get to write on during the exam….which sooooooo isn’t going to work for FAR (for me, that is.)

And yes, I won’t be surprised if that’s been banned as well.

Thanks for the Tip Barely, I am kind of worried about FAR and if those laminated sheets will be enough. I guess writing small is an option.

At the two different testing centers I've attended I've been explicitly instructed not to erase anything on my sheets. I smudged a few things here and there but it's really no big deal to get new sheets, don't worry!

It's really interesting learning how the rules at testing centers differ. At my location, they provided 2 sheets and I was allowed to hold on to one at a time and there were no rules about not erasing anything. Also, they were okay with me just turning in one sheet at a time so as soon as one sheet was close to running out, I would simply raise my arm until someone come by and handed them the old sheet.

I agree though, those laminated worksheets and markers are the worst idea ever – I really don't see the benefit over paper and pencil.

I think the benefit is more to them vs us. So as long as it benefits them, they don't care much about us lol.

Also I think if those things are reusable then why can't they hand out three at a time instead of two ?

Its not like by handing us on more it will “wasted”.

Write as small as possible and try using the tape feature on the calculator rather than scribbling on the laminates! I'm a big time scribbler and using tiny print+tape feature ensured that I didn't have to get up for more sheets when I sat for FAR!

    REG: 75 DONE 🙂
    AUD: 61, 71, 68, 92 DONE 🙂
    BEC: 76 DONE 🙂
    FAR: 72, 74, 79 DONE 🙂

Am I the only one here that barely uses the note board? I just find that (1) the exams aren't too computational and (2) it would take much longer to write things out on there, when you could just use the calculator provided on the screen. Although, every once in a while, there's a question that I come across where I just don't know how to approach it and start brainstorming how to answer on the board.

I just licked my finger and erased — i even asked for a new sheet and the proctor said he would bring one in and i would have to turn one in — they never did.

    Tips:

    Write small

number all of your computations so you can go back and review, time permitting

practice with just a pen and two pieces of paper to see if you can get through a practice exam with just two sheets … i couldn't but i just licked and smudged away
