Has Anyone Ever Accurately Predicted Their Score(s)? - Page 2

Just curious if anyone has ever received the score they felt they would get when they left the exam. Many posters write, “I’m sure I failed X” and then pass with 85-90s or write, “I felt good about X” and then later write they failed. Was this prediction based mostly on emotion, or did you actually count the number of questions you believed you nailed to get an idea of your raw percentage?

IF you are exhausted after exam, feel like knew nothing but answered most, and you feel like you gave birth to an accountant baby you probably passed.

Since I am an international student I had to fly to the US for a month and give all 4 papers in 2.5 weeks (was working with KPMG). I gave my audit and predicted 80 scored a 75. Gave BEC next, absolute disaster. Scored 79. Then gave FAR expected 70 scored 78. Finally gave REG, expected 80 scored 74! In feb 12 I came back for FAR, expected 72 to 74 scored 73. Now in november hopefully I ll give REG again and score over 90 (at least predict it over 90 to be sure).

I walked out of the test room for my REG exam thinking i was gonna make a 50 or less; I even started preparing to take it again. Surprisingly, i ended up with a 79! I agree with @Opaman, predicting scores is not worth the stress…

    REG - 2/28/13 - 79
    AUD - 7/15/13 - 90
    BEC - 5/23/14 - 87
    FAR - 8/31/14 - ????

I calculated my score by counting each multiple choice I marked, went back to and finally had to guess at as wrong. I gave each sim a value of 1 and any I marked as unsure, I counted as 0. (6 sims = 6 points) Doing this on audit, I predicted a low score of 76. I got an 88.

For reg, this same calculation gives me 73. I'm praying my calculation goes the same way as audit and I get a much higher score. Surely I guessed right on some of them.

I got some serious CPA score wait neurosis…eye twitch and all. Ha, at least the eye twitch started after the test instead of before, right?

@AnnaNuthaCPA: I did the same exact thing on REG and calculated my expected score as 73%. I felt pretty disheartened when I left the testing center and was a complete basket case on score release day, but ended up with an 86.

I sure hope that's true 'cause I walked out or there with triplets!!! LOLz

Predicting a 68 (if I get so lucky) on this one (FAR 05/31/13).
