So, I am taking my exam this Friday and was reading over the NTS so I can be prepared before I go in there. Says you need 2 forms of identification.

I have my Driver’s License which is valid and all.

But what else can I carry. The form is kind of confusing to read or maybe I am reading to much into it. My passport which is valid still is in my maiden name as I have recently gotten married and it Costs to get to that redone. What else can I carry that will work?

    Thank you!

    FAR - 46, 79 (7/8/14)
    AUD - 56, 59, 2/23/15 3rd times a charm!
    BEC - 69, 74 Really??
REG - April, I hope. Fingers crossed!

They only looked at my license.

I did take my own ear plugs. I used their noise cancellation headphones as well. It helped a lot.

Thanks guys for the info. I will take my debit card. The credit union I bank with has my picture with signature on the front of the card. I don't sign the back of any cards due to theft.

Just thought it was kind crazy to want 2 forms of ID when your only taking a test. When changing my name legally with the government they just needed one.

I will find some ear plugs. I defiantly do not need to get distracted with my first exam.

My husband has some noise cancellation headphones (like you wear to shoot guns) can you wear those?

They have the cancellation headphones in the exam rooms so you don't need to bring that.

I used those once and they have me a headache.. I guess it was too tight over my head so personally I hated them. Its a personal thing. Some work love it and some hate it.

Hence why I decided ear plugs work best for me. So take those with you just in case your pro-metric doesn't supply those.

Good Luck!! I am taking FAR too.

I will, thanks for the advice.

I am so nervous about this exam. Probably because it is my first and not knowing what to expect. Hope the nerves do not get in the way of taking the exam.

I've only ever had to show my license (not correct address either). I bring my wallet along and put in the locker.

Also, they take your fingerprints, picture, use a metal detector on you, and check your pockets, BTW.

    AUD: 84
    REG: 84
    BEC: 79
    FAR: 83

They also make you lift up your pant legs to show you don't have cheat sheets in your shoes. I felt like a criminal the first time I went through this process, but now we just joke as I'm going through check in because it's more than most of their test takers have to go through.
