Hi guys,

So my FAR expires on 6/30/2014. I am planning to take BEC by May 31, 2014. Can you guys please provide insight on how it will affect me? I am worried that I might lose the credit if score isn’t released by June 30, 2014.

This might vary state-to-state, but at least in most states, it's based on the dates you take the exam. So, in KY, if I took BEC on May 31st, then even if for some reason I didn't get the scores till September, it'd still count because the exam was taken within the 18-month window.

However, June 30th is an odd expiration time. Are you sure that's the expiration date? If so, I might check with your state board regarding the effect of passing a score before the deadline but not getting the score before it…because a June 30th expiration would look like your state may be basing off score release or end of quarter or something.
