I already knew it was too good to be true, but I’m shocked how close I was. Somewhat. I got a 62. 13 more points would’ve made my day. Heartbreak if I got less than 50. I can’t take my retake until Jan of next year. I’m still waiting for my AUD score sometimes during Thanksgiving. Depressed? You bet I am! Sad? No, I have a headache because I didn’t get enough sleep due to my Temp Job. I wanted to study for BEC and “maybe” go for it in December. I haven’t even looked at BEC. I assumed it to be the easiest. Am I under underestimation?

My plan is ruined, so anyone have any advice of how I should proceed? Study for FAR and forget about BEC? Study for BEC and take it? BTW, I already have my NTS for BEC and REG. LOL (What was I thinking?)

PS: Not sure if this was true or not, but I heard someone say that you can get a report of where your weakness in the exam was. Is this true?

    FAR - 62 (10/2/13), 50 (5/30/14)
    AUD - 73 (10/30/13), 66 (5/6/14)
    REG - 69 (4/8/14)
    BEC - 66 (2/27/13), 73 (4/21/14)

For the rest of the year, focus on finishing FAR. You don't even know if you've passed AUD. You need to focus on getting those two done before you move on to BEC. I think you are spreading yourself too thin and trying to do too much too soon. Take the time and study FAR and to crush it. With the hoidays, January will be here sooner than you know.

@ Akkula: I want to, but I don't really know where my weakness is at. That's why I want my performance report. Like someone said earlier, I think I'll tend to take it easy if I just want back to studying FAR without knowing what topic to concentrate on. I know how I'm going to study. So in some ways, that is my concern and someways, and can't do anything with it. And you're right, I don't know my AUD score.

Now, I really don't know if it's a good idea, but I'll already scheduled for my BEC already (Dec 6th). If I really want to pull out, the last day would be Nov 28th (price difference to reschedule).

    FAR - 62 (10/2/13), 50 (5/30/14)
    AUD - 73 (10/30/13), 66 (5/6/14)
    REG - 69 (4/8/14)
    BEC - 66 (2/27/13), 73 (4/21/14)

@KADFC – I received a 61. I knew I failed because I completely bombed the sims. But I feel like my score would've been a bit closer to 70. I'm studying for AUD right now and am sitting for it on 11/22. I just hope this one goes better.

Now that I know for sure I failed, I am wondering how long it typically takes to get the performance report in the mail or if the report is sent via e-mail?

Also, I agree with others about getting angry instead of being sad. Others have also said now that we have failed… when we go back to studying, we should act as if we had never taken it yet. This way, we will really master more of the material.

Best of luck on your next am though. Just remember, failure is not an option and the only way you fail is if you give up. 🙂

    BEC - 80
    AUD - 64, 75 - credit lost, 90!!
    REG - 73, 74, 83
    FAR - 61, 72, 85

Feels good finishing on my best note. Time to watch the mailbox.

@Latwell , did you get your NTS via email? Then I believe your score report will come that way too. I am guessing the score report emails will come out today sometime.

    REG - 65, 70, 80!
    BEC - 35, 62, 79!
    AUD - 73, 75!
    FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE.

The performance report is a major waste of time. You are MUCH better off not to place any value on it whatsoever.

You need to start from scratch, study as if you have already studied exactly 0 hours for this exam. Trust me. You don't need 13 points, you need 75.

As a point of reference I studied approx. 120 hours the first time I took AUD, 130 hours the 2nd time and about 150 the third time.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

@nbad311 – Yes, I received my NTS via email, thanks for the info.

@mla1169 – Seeing the performance report is more about curiosity for me. I don't intend on placing value on it. I already know which areas I felt comfortable with and which I need work on. And I completely agree when you say “you don't need 13 points, you need 75”. When I retake FAR, I plan on the exam being completely different in content.

I failed FAR with a 73… Soooooo close. But I scored a lot higher than I thought I would do. Just more motivation to pass the next time around! In the meanwhile, my next exam is REG so I have to focus on that before January comes up!

Feeling really down about my failing FAR score. It was the last exam that I needed to pass and I was SOOO ready to have my life back. I'm just not ready to get back into studying. I've improved on the exam every time, just not enough to get a passing score.

Does anyone have any experience with cram courses? Do you find them valuable? I study with Roger CPA and I am thinking to purchase his FAR cram course, or perhaps the 10pt Ninja Combo. I haven't studied with Ninja at all, so I'm not familiar with it. I would appreciate any feedback on how to conquer this test once and for all.

    Thanks!
