Exam Fees if Cancelling Exam

    Hi,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I need to cancel my AUD section schedule for about a month and a half away. I will not be rescheduling it until after my current NTS expires. If I cancel a section that I am already registered for, what would happen to my exam fees already paid? I understand that I will have to re-apply for an NTS through the VA board of accountancy, but not sure if this also means I would be forfeiting my fees paid for this particular section.

    Thank you for your help!

I doubt you can get your money back for that, but it might depend on your state board.

Honestly I would just take it, unless you plan on actually taking it in the same quarter that your NTS expires, then you might want to wait until you are ready if you don't want to have to take it twice. Considering the next Quarter starts in January, you might just want to reschedule right before your NTS expires or just take it so you can at least get a feel of the test even if you have no idea what is going on and would probably get a score of about 25-40% or maybe higher depending on how lucky you are.

I plan on taking FAR and AUD this quarter whether or not I'm ready for FAR, but will try and be ready to pass AUD. And if worse comes to worse I guess I will have to take it again in Jan or Feb…

Thank you for the response! I am debating to take it or tr to put it off, but like you said if I am going to loose my exam fee, might as well get an idea of what it is like. Good luck to you in your sections!
