Hi guys,

I have a FAR exam scheduled for tomorrow. I received a mail from Prometric plainly stating that the test center will be closed on the date of my scheduled exam and I should proceed to reschedule my exam. It did no specifically state my name or my test center number. I rechecked the Prometric site for list of centers closed due to the snow and found out that they still haven’t included my Test center’s number in the list

I missed out on the automated call, since my battery died the moment I picked up the phone!

What am I supposed to do?? If I reschedule right now, will I get a refund for the re-scheduling fees??

My exam center in NYC is closed tomorrow due to the bad weather.

I tried to book the exam in April but it says $78.!!!! so I stopped to do it. Do I have to pay for it??

If pro-metric is closed due to weather condition, you will receive a call and an email, don't worry for the testing centers closure list by the time you see it might not be updated – call or email is important, pro-metric will reschedule your exam for free only for once, but the problem is you may not get earlier or your desired testing date and sometimes also center,,,happened to me during Sandy I got date after 20 days and I went on vacation,,

Souseki – I'd rather wait till tomorrow morning and call at the helpline number mentioned in the Prometric mail I received. Hopefully, they'll walk me through the whole terms & conditions of re-scheduling an exam due to site closure.

As Shawn7 mentioned, there might be a risk of not getting your desired exam dates.

Another option is to reschedule the exam by paying the $78 and subsequently filling up a refund form available on the Prometric website. But like I said, it's safer to wait for tomorrow morning and hear it from the horse's mouth.

Either way you have to wait till tomorrow,,,just one thing more if one testing center is full ask for other location near by where you can commute,,,

If you read the page with the list of closures it says you will be contacted within 24 hours to reschedule and if you're not, they give a link to email them.
