Did Prometric fingerprint id you inbetween your testlets (while going on a brb)? - Page 3

    Ok, I need to vent…

I took my exam last week, and I had to take a break between the testlets. As we all know the clock keep running, which for a slow test taker like myself, really adds to the anxiety levels. What I don’t understand is why Prometric needs to fingerprint ID before and after the break. What am I really going to do in that time? Tag team my twin to go into the exam for me??? The fingerprint scanner malfunctioned and they had to re-try several times. They already require you to bring out your photo ID, sign out and in, and security wand you. Can you say…MAJOR time sucker! I think I lost at least 5 minutes due to these procedures, which since I was closed out of the exam and wasn’t able to finish one of my essays, might have a major impact on my score. I’m human…I have a bladder…WTH!!

I took 2 breaks during my last audit exam and i think it helped me refresh my mind. But i'm a fast test taker so i still had about 2 hours to do the SIMS. Also my prometric people are really fast AND when they see me coming back they will check me in first before others because they know my exam time is still running.

I did take one break for my last exam. But I was also in the end stages of really bad morning sickness (or in my case all day screw you and your normal day to day activities sickness). I warned them, that if it was between me having to get up and possibly only dry heave or just sitting there and hoping nothing bad comes up… guess which one I am going to chose because of how long it takes to get checked in and out.

@Zack, you'd be surprised, I felt that way about REG sims, but when I got my results back I passed. It is really hard to gauge on any of these exams. You just have to hope for the best.

I must have gotten lucky at my testing centers. When I did take a break (maybe 2 or 3 times during my 6 times testing), I was usually checked right in without waiting or any real hassle. I took breaks more for a breather, but since I have a teeny bladder, I figured I'd use the restroom as well.

    R - *77*(02/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    A - 71('11); *87*(04/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    F - *76*(08/'13)-Becker & NINJA - "server upgrade" survivor
    B - 60('11); *82*(10/'13) -Becker & NINA

    DONE, DONE, AND DONE.
