Ok, I need to vent…

I took my exam last week, and I had to take a break between the testlets. As we all know the clock keep running, which for a slow test taker like myself, really adds to the anxiety levels. What I don’t understand is why Prometric needs to fingerprint ID before and after the break. What am I really going to do in that time? Tag team my twin to go into the exam for me??? The fingerprint scanner malfunctioned and they had to re-try several times. They already require you to bring out your photo ID, sign out and in, and security wand you. Can you say…MAJOR time sucker! I think I lost at least 5 minutes due to these procedures, which since I was closed out of the exam and wasn’t able to finish one of my essays, might have a major impact on my score. I’m human…I have a bladder…WTH!!

@Kricket….AhHA!! So that ARE afraid that I'm going to tag team the exam with my equally-insane-to-be-studying-for-weeks-and-weeks-on-end twin!! Now THAT makes total sense. Haha

So happy I'm not the only person who feels this way @determinedCPA!

So silly. With facial recognition getting so cheap, why don't they just use that? It's quicker and better….

I've never in all of my exams taken a break for exactly that reason…it just is too much hassle to check back in! It's highly annoying and just the thought of waiting in line to check back in and such has always been far worse then opting out of the restroom for 4 hours! Such a unnecessary PITA!

I took a break during my first exam and realized later that those were precious minutes I could've used at the end of the exam. I never took another break in my remaining exams. It just isn't worth the gamble time-wise.

Did they also run a metal detector wand of you as well? They do that at my center, finger print scan and they wand you again, make you turn out your pockets, etc.

Wait a minute!? You mean to tell me that we can take a bathroom break! No more DEPENDS for me! WooHoo! I always got a funny look after taking a duece in the middle of the exam. Too bad they would not allow an air freshener. LOL!!!!!

Hence MAJOR time loss.
