After passing my last section of the exam in August, I applied for the license with New Jersey. A month or so later, The state board of accountantcy asked me to contact NASBA, because the board had already received everything necessary to issue the license with the exception of the NASBA documentation. When I called NASBA, I was surprised to hear that they found me to be deficient in a few accounting related credits and I need to make them up now. I am supposed to call the credit evaluation services coordinator at NASBA today to get more clarification, but does anybody know what step in the process did I miss? How would have I known about the deficiency had I not called them to find out what’s taking so long? I do not remember getting any communication from NASBA notyfing me that although I am eligible to sit for the exam, I may need additional credits to get a license in NJ. Any ideas?
