    I have an urgent query regarding the credit expiry of the CPA exam,

    I have just received the released score of my last exam (REG) and unfortunately, i didn’t Pass;

    But the problem is that the (FAR) expires on April 30, 2016, and i can’t sit for the (REG) again in this window (According to NASBA regulations).

    So if i took the exam during April (before 30th of April) can i avoid the expiry of the (FAR) test although the score release will be in May ?

    I found the below Q&A on NASBA website , but im not sure;

    My conditional credit expires soon. What is the last day I can sit without losing credit?

    You have until the end of testing on the day your credit expires. Remember, when scheduling your examination, some testing centers are not open on weekends or holidays. For some jurisdictions, the expiration date for conditional credit may fall in a non-testing month.

    You just have to sit for REG by April 30th. It won't matter if you don't get your score until May.

    You have to sit for your last exam (and do well enough to pass it) by the date that the score expires, but you don't have to receive the passing score in hand before the other score expires.

    However, be aware that sometimes NASBA will show an expiration at the end of the month or end of the testing window, but your state will consider the score to expire prior to that, with the state's score being 18 months from the date you sat for the exam (so, could be April 2 instead of April 30). So, if you don't know for sure that April 30 is 18 months from the day you sat for FAR, it would be worth double-checking with your state board to see if they can confirm for you what date your FAR score will expire. I've seen a few people test according to when NASBA said their score expired, then find out that according to their state their score had already expired. 🙁

    Thanks wombataholic for your reply.
    Also Thanks Lilla , you were more than helpful, that's what i was confused about. I have just checked with my state board (NH) and waiting for their reply , as NASBA replied with the same.
