Hello friends ,

My Audit credit shows expiry date as 30 th nov 2016 . I have 3 papers left to pass.I sent querry to my state and received reply from them .
Replay received from state,
“Yes, you will have until on or before November 30th, 2016 to pass the remaining sections.”

Please help me to understand reply from state.
As per state , I have to sit and pass exam before expiry date .But I read in forum , one can sit for exam till 30 th Nov 2016 , even though result will be declared after 30 th Nov 2016 .

@bin Some states count “pass” based on score release date but most count it based on the date that you take the exam. So, you could post what state you're in and perhaps someone else is in the same state and can confirm if your state does it based on sit date or score release date, or the more certain way would be to reply back to that email and say something along the lines of “Thanks for this information. To confirm, does that mean that if I sit for an exam on November 30th and receive the passing score in December, it will count? Or do I need to receive all scores by November 30th? Thanks again for your assistance!”

There's only a couple states that count pass dates based off of score release date, so chances are good that you can sit for the exam on November 30th. However, since some states do measure from release date, it's worth confirming.

Exam Credit

You may take the required test sections individually and in any order, but are required to pass all four sections of the examination within a rolling 18 month period, which begins on the date the first examination section passed was taken.

Credit for any section passed shall be valid for 18 months from the actual date the examination sections were taken. Examination credit expires by section. You will lose credit for each section passed outside the 18 month period, and will have to retake those sections.

When did you sit for your 1st exam that you currently have credit for? You have to sit for your last exam by 18 months from that date. So, if you sat for the first one May 30, 2015, then sitting for an exam Nov 30, 2016, would be 18 months later and should be fine. However, if you sat for your first one that you have credit for on May 2, 2015, then you'd need to sit for your last one by Nov 2, 2015.

Given that the state board is telling you Nov 30, I'm guessing that means you sat for your first one that you have credit for on May 30, 2015.

You need to have taken the exam by Nov 30 you do not need to have your score by then. In some cases, your status will change to expired on the website after nov 30 but will be reinstated with score release, its just a preprogrammed system and no way to avoid that.

In that case, by a strict 18 month rule, your credit would expire Nov 18, 2016, so you would need to sit prior to or on Nov 18.

Given that the state board is telling you Nov 30, it could be that they “round” to the end of the month, but I can't tell you that for sure – only they can. Since you're having trouble getting an answer from them that you can be certain of, your best bet would be to take all your exams on or before Nov 18.
