Hello!

There is a big snowstorm starting tonight in New England and the Northeast and it’s supposed to last til Friday afternoon. I have the AUD exam on Friday morning at 8:30. Do you think the Prometric center will be closed? They’re already closing schools in the area for the rest of the week and the snow hasn’t even started falling yet.

Though I wouldn’t mind having a few extra days to study, I’m worried because my NTS literally expires on Friday. Will I be able to reschedule or will I have to pay for a whole new NTS?

LOL MLA! I am in PA, so I'm not sure about you for the snow on Monday. I'm just stating from my local weather lol. I don't even know how much we are supposed to get, I just know there is another one coming on Sunday night that is more of a wintry mix with snow/rain/ice. Oh the joys of winter in the Northeast!

From the Link mla1169 post it says:-

“You will be contacted via email within 24 hours of the test center closure. If you have not been contacted within 24 hours, please email Prometric directly”

So for those of you that have no heard from your Prometric and no is picking up the phone – you had best emailed them to be on the safe side as then you have written proof that you contacted them asking if they will be open for you to take your exam or if they can allow you to reschedule. I took a screen shot of the site closure page where my center is clearly visible for my protection and I will anxiously be awaiting a call or email from prometric as to what my next step will be….

I don't often have nice things to say about prometric, but I have to give credit where it's due for prompt and professional service!

I received not one but 3 emails in response to my email inquiring about the rescheduling process that gave clear instructions as to what I needed to do to reschedule yesterday. The email instructed me to wait for prometric to assign me to the first available day after my exam or I could call the Regional Contact Center @ 1-800-580-9648 to speak with a rep. I was too nervous to wait around on prometric so I called this morning @ 10am expecting absurd wait times and braced for fair to poor customer service.

To my surprise, I was courteously rescheduled with a new date and a confirmation number in 9 minutes! I've waited longer on hold to order a pizza! I also received a new email appointment confirmation within 5 minutes of hanging up. I'm pleasantly shocked and relieved that prometric was on the ball considering how many prometric centers were closed today!

Moral of the story: If your center is closed for something unforeseen, don't panic. Prometric will handle the reschedule efficiently and effectively!

I love my prometric center!! I went to take my BEC exam this morning, I enter my launch code and an error screen appears….my launch code is incorrect. I try two more times until my exam shuts down. The prometric girl comes over with my NTS and tries to enter …still not working. I look at it more closely and my stomach drops!!! I printed out the wrong NTS!!!! At this point I'm freaking out, I'm such an idiot!!

Much to my surprise, the girl asks me if my NTS is in my email. She then lets me bring up my NTS on her laptop and writes the correct NTS launch code down… MY SAVIOR!!!!! I was able to continue with my exam.

This shows that the Prometric employees can be much more lenient than we all hear, so do NOT freak out right away maybe you have a prometric angel too : )
