Can't reschedule test 28 hours away because Prometric down for maintenance!!!!

    I tried to reschedule my FAR exam set for tomorrow and when I clicked on reschedule it told me the website was down for planned maintenance. I can’t find anything talking about planned maintenance on the prometric site. They have a live chat option for help on weekends but that is unavailable as well. The phone number is only good M-F and I have no other way to reschedule this. I sent them an email and it seems like that is my only option. I could file a complaint as well but I don’t know if that will help me. Now, I’m going to have to take the exam or reapply for my boards because I can’t get through the site. I’m so frustrated!

    From my experience it tends to be down early Sunday mornings, so try around noon (eastern time) and you should have better luck,

    Thanks for the info. It will be cutting it close as my test is 12:30 EST. I just hope I can get through.

    Good luck. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to take a screen print that shows the time. Just in case….

    Website is still down for maintenance and I've been sitting on the e-chat function with no update for 45 mintues. I only have 25 minutes left. I can't believe this.

    I wasn't able to change it. It wasn't available until after my 24 hour window expired. E-chat was unable to help me as they could not access my system and told me to call the number tomorrow.

    I have a screenshot, I filed a complaint earlier this morning and sent a contact message for email before my time was up.

    Yes, I should have prepared better. Trying to take this exam on vacation to enjoy the vacation ended up backfiring. I'll take the exam if they don't let me reschedule and hopefully pass. I know a lot of the material but I'm not nearly as confident as I would like to be.

    As a follow up. I called prometric and they verified the site was down most of the weekend. They rescheduled me and I didn't have to pay the fee. I'm glad I followed up with them and NASBA this morning.

    Hey mmc, I have a same problem that you had. I have BEC exam tomorrow and would like to reschedule. The site is still down, How did you reschedule your FAR test?

    I called the prometric regional number. I'm in the US so it's 1-800-580-9648. If you're not past your 24 hour window you should be able to get help with this number. Otherwise, they will have to transfer you to the supervisor number. It was the latter group that helped me.

    OMG I just have talked the supervisor, and she said that the site was not down and I have not able to reschedule the exam. They said I have to call to NASBA for further processing if I want to. The site was down since last night.

    If you contact NASBA, ask to be transferred to candidate care. I think the lady's name is Nancy. You can talk to her and she'll talk to prometric. Also send her an email at candidatecare@nasba.org

    I'm not guaranteeing she will be able to help you but it doesn't hurt.
