Can you have more than one NTS at the same time

    Hello guys,

I was hoping to find out if I can have more than one NTS going at the same time. For example if I have a NTS where I plan to take financial first and audit second, but end up failing financial can I apply for another NTS to retake financial before taking the still pending audit section? Or would I need to take the pending audit test first to clear the NTS and apply for financial again on my next NTS?

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

You can, but I think you have to wait 48 hours or so before getting another NTS for the section you just failed.

    Licensed Florida CPA:
    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.

In my state…..You can only sit for each section of the exam ONCE each window. So if you failed FAR on month 10, you can NOT get a new NTS and sit in month 11. However, you will need a new NTS to take FAR again in the new testing window, months 1-2

I'm not sure if this applies to every state though.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

Yah the testing windows apply to all states. I wasn't planning to try to take a failed exam in the same window, but was more concerned about losing the money I paid for an exam that I did not take because I decided to apply for another NTS so that I can retake a failed test(in the next window).

For example I only have audit and financial in one NTS. I have audit scheduled for November and financial in February. End up getting 74 on audit so I apply for another NTS in December so that I can take audit again in January. What happens to the Financial scheduled in February? Is it overridden? Or can I take the audit in January with my new NTS and take my financial in February on my old NTS.

One reason I ask is because without this knowledge I paid for only two exams on my first NTS because I was afraid of failing my first exam and having to wait until I passed the other 3 exams before my NTS cleared. Which could be six months or more after I first studied the material.

Thanks gatorbates! but since I am studying audit I would love some corroboration to increase my assurance on the subject:)

@Study Monk–Hey Monk, no, your FAR will not be over ridden. After 48 hours, you can apply for a new NTS for your AUD.

When you are going to FAR test, you can bring the “old” NTS which included both your AUD and FAR test ID on it.

When you are going to AUD in next Jan, you should bring the “new” NTS. Hope it helps.

    AUD-73, 73, 73, 79!!
    BEC-77!
    FAR-60, 83!
    REG-66, 72, 75!

    I am with Shan

I have two NTS's this month. One for FAR which I did back in July and one for REG which I applied for 4 weeks ago.

So you can have Mulitple NTS' in the same testing window – just not for the same subject.

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !
