Anyone else received an email from NASBA that their Fail was actually a Pass?

    I just got an email from someone who was notified their failing score from Q3 was an error and it was actually a pass.

    The email looks legit.

    Has anyone else received one?

    At this point I think I'd be almost sad to receive an email like that for the 73 I got on FAR in Q3 since I've studied and sat for two FAR exams subsequent to that 73. My question would be is NASBA going to refund their exam fees for any re-takes of the same exam? I would hope so!

    The refund of the fees should be the least of your worries and assumes you put no value on your time. If you value your time at $15/hour and studied another 150 hours, that's $2,250. Also, what if you took some vacation days off work to study? Will NASBA reimburse your for that? Probably not.

    Hmm. It took them that long to find out the score they gave is wrong? .. I actually think the score they gave to my reg was unfair. Especially for people who has parts expiring. it's really not fair.

    Im with Amandalee. I hope NASBA reimburses them for the exam cost and fees. The time…well, you have to study regardless so realistically the fair game would be for them to reimburse 100% of the exam (or exams if taken more than once) cost for the part in question.

    Not if you are retaking an exam you should have passed originally due to a scoring error. Those are some wasted weekends/vacation days.

    Now to stretch this out further, what about the the time you could have been using to spend studying on another section?

    Any way you look at it, it's a raw deal.

    @ Mw798 – I agree that is raw in any way you look at it but realistically it will not change the fact that they messed up and if you received that notification before you even passed the part in question that will be music to your ears. No matter what, they will not pay for your time period.

    I would love to get that email. I took AUD in Q3 and got a 73, thus making me a subpar candidate who didn't try hard enough, according to some threads. I hope I get that email so I can re-validate my existence.

    Can you share the contents of the letter, without naming names? If this happened to this person, what's to say that the root cause of the error didn't occur to other candidates?

    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.
