Hello everyone,
I am currently looking to start preparing for the cpa (after one more accounting class).
I am looking to get licensed in Virginia.
VA requires 120 credit hours to sit for the exam, with 24 Accounting hours and 24 Business credit hours.
I was wondering, what generally constitutes Business credit hours?
I guess more specifically, my question is will my “Principles of Microeconomics” (ECON 101), “Principles of Macroeconomics” (ECON 102), and “Principles of Statistics” (all intro classes).
If these do count, then I will have 24 “other business classes” and I will be able to sit for the CPA.
I know that the best place to ask is the VA Board of Accountancy, but it is the holidays and it is closed. It would be great to have an idea earlier, so I can sign up for business classes (if these do not count) soon.
Does anyone have a general idea if these classes counted for them?
Much appreciated,
