18 month window question

I haven’t been able to find a definitive answer on this – Does the “18 month window” start from the day of your first passed exam, or just that quarter? My score report says my credit expires 9/30/13 – obviously I didn’t take the exam 3/30/12. Just curious.

    Starting all over.

    FAR - 11/27/13
    AUD - 1/4/14

It depends on the state. If you mention what state you're from someone may be able to help you. Based on your expiration date it sounds like your state does 18 months from the end of the quarter.

It's from the date your scores are posted in Texas. Starting from test date is dumb.

@OJFWE, starting from test date is not dumb, that is how some states do it. Is it fair? Maybe not, but not necessarily dumb.

Some states expire exactly 18 months after test date (Louisiana does it this way), some are 18 months after the test date but on the 30th of the month and some may expire at the end of the quarter 18 months after test date.

The rules are what the rules are in various states, and it makes no difference what one persons opinion is…if someone finds their boards rules to be “dumb” then they need not sit for the exam in that particular state. Frankly the board could make it the 13th full moon after the first Tuesday of the month before you sit and thats the rule.

CT is also 18 months from test date. Really wasn't a big deal.

NY its 18 months from the end of the window. (at least per my score reports)

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!
