I am taking my BEC exam tomorrow. For the majority of my studying, I have used Becker to prepare myself for this section of the exam. Mostly in part because my employer paid for it and recommended it highly. Then, about a week ago, I discovered this lovely forum and have seen multiple posts about how Becker is not the ideal choice for the BEC portion of the exam. Ever since then I feel like I’ve been in a panic. I decided to get the Wiley 2011 BEC review book and do questions to maybe see the difference. There were, obviously, some differences since there are some topics covered in Wiley that were not in Becker. I also went to CPAreviewforfree.com to see how I did with their questions.

Here is my question: I took Becker’s simulated exam yesterday and scored 87%. I also did the sample exam in the Wiley book and scored 75%. I scored 75% on CPAreviewforfree.com’s practice exam. Should I be that concerned or am I stressing myself out over nothing?

I think you're stressing over nothing. Since you're scoreing 75 or better on all three you are prepared. Good luck tomorrow!!

Plenty of people here use Becker and pass, I'll say you're worrying yourself over nothing. Good luck!

Is it even worth worrying about that at this point? Not like you can change and switch review courses by tomorrow. There is no correct way to take the exam… Just get your game face on and go own it!

    FAR: 84
    AUD: 95
    REG: 78
    BEC: 88
    ETHICS: 100

I hate to break this to you but you need to be in the high 80s on sample testlets to stand a chance at passing. The questions on the actual exam are a LOT more difficult than anything you will find in those study guides. It sounds like you're going to need to get very lucky to pass

just kidding man 🙂 you'll do great! BEC isnt that hard.
