Hi All,

I am writing BEC for the first time and I had bought BEC Homestudy from Yaeger in October 2010, thinking I was gonna write it before the end of the Year, however, I was not able to. I want to write it in April now. I know the materials for BEC have changed, I have bought the 2011 Wiley book to support my (V. 2010) lectures. Would anyone be able to advise me if that is ok, so far the only material that I have come across in the book that is different is Corp. Governance chapter. Everything else besides that is pretty much the same, even the questions.

Also, Yaeger advises us to do the questions he outlines in the handout, after reviewing those questions, I found them pretty simple as compared to the other ones in the wiley book, it is better to go through all the questions or just stick to Yaeger recommended questions. Your response (s) is much appreciated.

I was in the same situation and I got the Wiley book. I also got the 2011 testbank software so I could do current MCQs. I think I did well enough to pass as I read the book and watched the vids. Remember to skip the first section of vids since it's not on the test anymore. Good luck.

Thanks for sharing your thought JWS. On the side note did you end up doing only the problems assigned by Yaeger or more of the problems at the end of the text. I feel comfortable till now doing the problems yaeger recommends, but dont want to run into any sort of surprises when I write the exam.

I honestly did all of them at least twice. I found the exam threw me some unexpected curveballs which the Wiley text didn't even cover. Do all of the questions at least once if you can.

I will attempt to do the MCQs twice Yaeger recommends on his handout and leave out the other ones, I am also giving myself 6 weeks to study for this exam. What exams are you studying for?
