    I believe I received a 74 last time I took BEC due to the WC. I ran out of time and my wc was not good. I would like to know how it’s scored. I was told that the examiners read the written portion and that the content is important. If it’s scored via computers- how can they test on knowledge? Buzz words? Spell check and fragmented sentences? Are these looked at? Does anyone actually know? Or just assuming? Please let me know your thoughts, my test is a week from tomorrow and I really don’t want to sit for this beast again (not that anyone else does). Thanks in advance!

    @sherrid

    Here is some info on that:

    6. How do you score the written communications responses?

    Most responses are scored by a computer grading program, which is calibrated using human scorers. In some cases, responses are scored by a network of human graders (all CPAs). If your score is close to the passing score, your written responses will be automatically re-graded by human graders. When there is more than one grader for a response, the average of the scores is used as the final grade.

    You can also check out the pdf on the exam, it answers alot of questions:

    Hope that helps…best of luck with BEC!!
