    Hey guys,

I m new on this forum. Will be sitting for BEC next month … Just one stupid issue:

I am used to writing in British English and there are a lot of spelling variations between Brit vs American for instance “judgment” vs “judgement” ….

Will this be an issue in SIMS/Written ….? Should I make a brief note at the very beginning of each simulation to the examiner that there might be some spelling variations due to British English… so they don’t look down upon it?

It is an issue for me… petty but could matter… who knows…

    any comments?

Well, I don't know for sure, but I just took the BEC two weeks ago, and I remember there being a spell checker function that worked just fine. If the spell check doesn't light up red on your word, then I'm sure you're fine. Besides, I think the most important thing is your grammar, syntax and professional tone. I wouldn't sweat the small stuff. Remember, quite a few people who are taking the BEC have English as their secondary language.

    Good luck!

I really have no idea how the cpa is graded … but i know that the GMAT is graded by a computer once and by a human once … so … if the spell check did not show any problems and you dont have alot of mistakes as the previous guy mentioned you should be okay … btw … I never took BEC … i'm just guessing ! :D> Good luck for me and u 🙂 I'm taking it with reg next month !

    two to go !
