I have started studying BEC a couple of weeks ago, my plan is to take the test early Jan. I have not set the test day yet but my problem is restarting…..I watch the videos, I write notes, I have not started the mcq’s yet but for some reason I can’t seem to get pass corporate goverance or keep going forward for that matter ….I keep starting over or feeling like the information I have is not going to be enough……HELP my strategy is all wrong?

can you set milestones for yourself, something that will motivate you short term? Like for every 100 mcq you'll “reward” yourself with a dunkin donuts cold brew iced coffee (Yes that ice coffee is the reason I do a LOT of things I don't feel like………)

set a detailed schedule and stick to it… if you don't get something… push along and make note of it. You will not master everything – you will pass if you keep trucking along.

    cheers – make 2017 count.

@mia, at starbucks now….had to leave my house too much noise, no food, and no sanity. Great point though, I think I'll get another coffee regular instead of decaf.

great point also, I guess I won't ever feel comfortable if I fly by the seat of my pants without direction…..making a study schedule now.

I make a spreadsheet and log my hours for the day and how many mcq's I do. It helps keep me accountable and not slack off too much.

    FAR: 75 Roger & Ninja (notes/flashcards/audio/MCQ)
    AUD: 73, 81
    BEC: 71, retake 8/29

Like others have said stick to a schedule. I felt the same way after finishing up corporate governance but by the end after reviewing and MCQs it wound up being one of my strongest areas.

I like paper…. I make a calendar and big spaces for weekends small spaces for week days (I do less those days). Then I do a test date count down. I make list on the right everything i want to get done before the test. Lastly I write down everyday what I did for the day. I STINKS to have a blank space. Thats what keeps me motivated

    FAR - 05/2015
    AUD - 75,11/2014
    REG - 07/2015
    BEC - 09/2015

I print my calendar, write out my schedule, and mark off the days until exam time. It will be amazing to stop writing out my life in pencil and x’ing off the days. :/

I used CPAexcel and followed the study schedule they generate and left 2 weeks of review at the end. This time I'm only using NINJA and am trying to go through 30+ pages in the NINJA book each weekday and one day on the weekends.

This is a schedule of MCQ tracker that I did up until my AUD exam. AUD

You can use it if you want. I think the first 20 days, it was 30/day, then went to 60/day for 10 days, and finally 90/day for the remaining days up until the day.

You do what you need to do, but this made me keep progress and made me accountable. If I skipped days, I know how much MCQs I need to do to make up. Also, BEC mcqs < AUD mcqs, so adjust how many you do per day. Have fun.
