Just wondering and I know it will be different for everyone, but which section did you hate the most and why?

    BEC - PASS
    FAR - PASS
    Audit - PASS
    REG - PASS

studying – FAR was absolutely the worst — Took me about 3 months to get through the material because I never felt prepared. I'm still not sure how I passed but I'm not complaining.

actual exam – MCQ's (BEC) / Sims (FAR) — Because the BEC material is so broad, the MCQ's were literally all over the place. / FAR sims can be on anything, there's a million little topics and of course you'll get stuck with sims on the few topics you weren't super confident about.

    - passed all 4 exams on my first try using Becker!

    Ethics: TBD

FAR was by “far” the worst for me. I have felt ready for all of the others, and even though I studied longer and harder(maybe not smarter) for FAR I did not feel ready. I was so relieved to barely pass (76). I am happy to study REG at this point.

    AUD 87
    BEC 78
    FAR 76
    REG 93

BEC is the most-hated exam over on the A71 Facebook page (besides FAR, of course) 🙂

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say I actually kind of “enjoyed” BEC. It was like one big econ class; supply and demand, guns and butter. Even though I got a better score by 12 points on AUD, I had a better time (if one can even say that… ) with BEC.

I really enjoyed studying for BEC, too. I feel like I have a better understanding of why things are done a certain way at work, and the stats refresher was useful. I actually prepared a multivariable regression analysis in Excel the day after I about it in Wiley. My BEC downfall: IT.

    BEC - 10/01/2013 - 80 - Wiley books and test bank
    AUD - 10/21/2013 - 78 - Wiley books and test bank
    REG - 11/27/2013 - 78 - Wiley books and test bank
FAR - 01/13/2014 - 79 - Wiley books and test bank, Ninja Blitz

REG was the worst and FAR was the best for me.

    BEC 91 02/25/13
    FAR 98 05/14/13

FAR was awful to study for, but since I studied for it the longest (8 weeks), I felt like I knew the material (even though I felt like I failed when I left Prometric). REG was probably the worst IMO. I felt like I was guessing on all the computational questions, including SIMS! There are just so many rules that you have to remember for Tax.

    B - 81 (8/31/13) first attempt!
    A - 80 (2/3/14) first attempt!
    R - 89 (7/31/13) first attempt!
    F - 86 (7/2/13) first attempt!
    Licensed CPA: 12/31/14

    Becker rocks!

@DJN, I liked the econ parts of BEC too. It has been so long since I took Micro and Macro, I'd forgotten about a lot of basic econ topics (supply and demand curves and what affects them). It's interesting.
