Suddenly, It seems like BEC has become the most difficult section of the CPA exam. I am using beckers and going on doing cost accounting, operations management and financial management. I hope I pass.
Any leads on how to not give up due to pressure 🙂

I agree — when I started this process, it seemed that BEC was the no brainer exam, so I left myself little time to study for it, and now, here I am 2 days before my exam, realizing that I could totally bomb this exam because I underestimated it. I am interested in the answer to this question as well!

Try to know the economics and coso frameworks like the back of your hand. These are a large portion of the test and the more tricky of non math sims that are throughout Becker. If you have Becker I recommend watching the skill master videos in these topics. We are used to math intensive sims, but these two topics are heavily tested and are easy to write non math sim questions about. I read these topics can be almost 40% of the test. Good luck as I am waiting for Tuesday on this score release as well.

I took the BEC exam today. This is my second time taking it. I underestimated the amount of material the first time. My fist testlet was calculation HEAVY!!!! Do not miss any topics in the book. Focus on know all the formulas for budgeting and projections and valuations. Know IT and Internal control… Yes i know i just mentioned the entire book but to b honest i felt like my test was on the entire book. DO NOT focus on only two topics!!!! Also remember, everyone's test is different.

The intent isn’t to focus on two topics, with two days left before the exam I’m assuming the entire material has been studied and I agree know as much as possible. Just mentioning what two topics are heavily tested as an area to touch up on before the test.

My highest on the mock exams was a 75, although the writing portions in Becker aren’t graded, and I made some simple reading mistakes on some of the sims. That being said I felt good coming out of the test on exam day. We will see. Good luck!

Yesterday i read over the outlines for each chapter and rewrote all the formulas. I only had one econ question. I dont think the AICPA gives a correct % of whats on the exam.

@HDCPA I am in the same boat as you on the mock exams. Felt 50/50 walking out of the exam. Good luck to you on score release day!
