I wouldn't say “super hard”. BEC covers the least amount of material, but some of the concepts are complex such as cost accounting and financial analysis. The mistake most people make is to underestimate BEC and study too little. No section of the exam should be taken lightly.

    FAR - 79 - 07/2012
    AUD - 65, 78 - 11/2012
    BEC - 76 - 11/2012
    REG - 78 - 01/2013
    ETH - 98 - 01/2013

    Material: Wiley books

Noct summed it up very well. I was not a huge fan of BEC and found some of the material confusing and random. Personally i preferred FAR material. Just to emphasize again, do not underestimate it or study any “lighter” that the other sections. It looks like you have passed the 3 other sections so you know what you are doing……….do the same thing that worked for you on those sections and you will be set.

    good luck

BEC is probably the section that people most underestimate. Do not underestimate BEC or it will bite you. That being said, you should find a section or two of BEC to be pretty straight forward. There are several topics in BEC that can be a pain but are critical (here is looking at you overhead variances).

I failed BEC the first time around because I pushed back REG and took a chance that I could pass it on a shorter study schedule. That obviously didn't work. I disliked BEC because the sections are so different and don't really build on each other. It seemed like the material jumped around instead of being a cohesive group of material to learn. I was also a little burnt out at the end so maybe your study break will help with that since you are taking it last too. Just buckle down, study as hard as you did for the others and get it done!

    AUD 4/12/12 79
    FAR 5/29/12 76
    REG 8/2/12 82
    BEC 8/30/12 72 Retake 10/18/12 76!!! DONE!!!!
