Yesterday I saw my 74 in BEC. I’ve given myself a day or two to be mad and depressed. Since yesterday I’ve jumped back and forth from “It’s ok I’ll knock it out of the park next time” and “OMG 1 f’n point”. I’m curious how everyone here who saw the dreaded 74 handled it?

I got a 74 on REG in February.

    1. I cried

    2. I drank wine

    3. I thought about not finishing it (REG was my last one)

    4. I drank more wine

    5. I posted on A71 looking for advice

    6. Someone, I think Kricket, said something about not letting it be a bully and take away your lunch money. Then I dove in that Monday (I got the 74 on a Friday) and was mad really mad but studied like I have never studied before in my life. That test was not going to “take away my lunch money”

Get mad…let that anger fuel your studying. You can do it!

My wine is Crown Royal. We have become good friends. Come tomorrow my pity fest will be over and I'll dive back into FAR.

I got a 74 on my first exam ever BEC in Jan 2012. Then a 73 on my second exam AUD. Then a 74 on my fourth exam FAR.

Then I got really effin pissed.

Stopped drinking. Deactivated Facebook. Quit socializing pretty much all together.

I became obsessed, and finally started passing. I got my first passing score in January of 2013.

Anger has been a good motivator.

    🙂

MCLKT that reminded me…I forgot to add I adopted the hermit lifestyle. I did nothing other than go to work, walk my dogs/go to the gym (alternated days) and studied. No social life, no outings…nothing. 🙂

I got a 74 on FAR. Found out on a Friday, gave myself the weekend to be pissed and recharge, then dove back in on Monday. I only did MCQs during my restudy period. I didn't improve by much, I got a 77 on my re-test, but the extra MCQ were just enough to help me pass.

And sorry BananaStand, but I disagree. Your method just personally didn't work for me. When I missed studying because something was going on it just stressed me out even more and I always ended up wishing I hadn't given up the study time to do whatever. I did make sure to take nice lunch breaks though during my long weekend days just to give my brain a break.
