Got the dreadful 69 yesterday on BEC. Been checking to see when I can reapply on NASBA website since this morning. So here I am, another $266.65 for BEC. This has got to be the last time I am spending my $ on this exam. Hopefully the NTS will be in my inbox by tomorrow. Gonna go HAM on studying for this exam for the next six weeks. I work better under pressure and now that my REG is due to expire 1/31/13, I gotta get this done!!!

@candothis, if you are reading this, hope you are done mourning. Lets get this show on the ROAD!!

Btw, do you guys suggest I buy a new review course? I did becker, wiley, ninja notes. This time around, I used the ninja notes and audio and it improved my score by 6 points! I will continue to use them but was wondering if I should buy Roger cram course or the regular course to review my materials. *sigh

Guess if I had scrolled down more I would have seen this before I posted!

I was able to register today as well. I hope to schedule tomorrow. Georgia is usually pretty quick.

I am sick of paying this money! My dad thinks this is a money racket!!

I too have used Becker regular course and used their Final Review. For FAR I also supplemented with the NINJA audio and NINJA notes. I plan to stick with this plan. I also have the Wiley 2011-2012 problems and solutions so if time permits I will hit that as well.

I hope to schedule my exam for January 13, 2013 as this will be my 13th exam since starting this process in 2010. I am not a superstitous person but ANYTHING to get this exam over!!

I too agree that its a money racket. I'm so much in a bind on what to do. Was thinking of buying the roger cram course. You passed bec, what did u use? I'm superstitious too that is why I want to schedule it for 1/2/2013 which when added up equals 9. High numbers are good in my culture. I'm really praying for us and I am sure we can do this!!!

Supervisor, I have used Becker regular course and their Final Review for all four parts. Becker is great even though I have had to take the exam multiple times. I just attribute that to having graduated from college in 1988 and actually having to learn he material. It has been anything but a review.

This is strictly a personal view, but if you have Becker,NINJA and the other materials, I would continue to use those. If you plan to take your exam is about six weeks, stick with the method you already know.

Thanks candothis. I am going to take your advice and stick with the materials that I have and re-read the books and notes and rewrite the ninja notes. Got the NTS today and just scheduled my exam for 1/2/13 at 12:00pm. Its funny how quickly I got my NTS but til now I havent received my score report.

When I did not pass the BEC test, I thought about the areas where I knew I was weak (for me this was all the calculation problems that I lumped under cost accounting). I reworked all these problems multiple times, and even wrote out how to handle certain numbers (to include or not include in calculations), and this helped me get though on my second attempt at the exam.

And one more thing, there were a few key highly tested areas that I did not get one question on my 1st test, and I made sure that I understood these areas too. And at least for me, they were tested on the next test, (one of these areas I had 4-6 problems) and therefore making sure I understood these topics was key to getting these questions correct when they did appear on my next exam.

You are so close to your goal, so dedicate yourself to beating this exam and you'll be a CPA!!!!
